Read on and see just how much sense installing a Reverse Osmosis Water Purifier makes...
High quality water:
- Reverse Osmosis is the most widely used technology for producing safe, great tasting drinking water.
- Reverse Osmosis is used in many hospitals throughout the world to make high quality pharmaceutical water. This shows you that Reverse Osmosis water really is pure and is not just falsely claimed to be pure, unlike many gimmicky and ineffective water purifying systems.
- Reverse Osmosis drinking water systems use advanced membrane technology, activated carbon absorption and conventional filtration to reduce the entire spectrum of contaminants that are found in water.
- Reverse Osmosis Membrane technology effectively removes heavy metals, such as barium, cadmium, chromium, lead and mercury, radium 226/228, selenium, chlorine salts, turbidity, fluoride, and bacteria.
Cost effective:
- A Reverse Osmosis system is much more cost effective (and convenient) than buying bottled water.
- Installing a Reverse Osmosis system adds value to your home and is sold with your house as an asset.
- Drinking and cooking with pure RO water protects you and your family from water borne diseases. Many illnesses are linked to water-borne contaminants or not drinking enough pure water. Most people without access to good drinking water tend to drink insufficient pure water which causes the onset of a disease state with symptoms such as lack of energy, irritability, lack of concentration, headaches, weight gain and inadequate de-toxification. These symptoms usually gradually worsen until they become a noticeable disease. It pays to start drinking good water and to prevent the cost and discomfort of disease. Remember water is key to a healthy body.
Environmentally Friendly:
- Purifying your own water is much better for the environment than buying bottled water. The manufacturing process involved in making the plastic bottles for bottled water uses up precious resources and adds to landfill wastage and environmental pollution.
- Reverse Osmosis produces waste water as part of the purifying process. The system will generally waste about 30%. Although this can seem like a lot of water when you compare this to the amount of water wasted in making bottles for bottled water, or the amount of water wasted in making drugs to treat illness caused by drinking contaminated water, or the amount of water wasted making many useless consumable products then wasting a bit of water to get diseases-preventing life-giving water is a fair exchange, and could be considered a good use of water. Also remember that the water is not really wasted - it is flushed down the drain and back into our water cycle. It is a good practice though to recycle this water (and all your waste water) through your garden.
- People drinking clean water are healthier, and have a more positive effect on their environment
How does the 5-Stage filtering work?
- Stage 1 is a 5 Micron Sediment filter to remove sediment, rust, dirt and other solid debris.
- Stage 2 is an activated carbon filter which takes out 98% of the chlorine and organic chemicals.
- Stage 3 is a 1 Micron Sediment Filter to remove finer dissolved solids, and helps to protect the stage 4 membrane.
- Stage 4 is the Reverse Osmosis membrane which removes hard water contaminants such as lead, copper, barium, chromium, mercury, sodium, flouride, nitrites and selenium by approximately 98%. Water passes through the membrane while the dissolved and particulate materials are left behind. As pressure is applied to the concentrated solution, the flow is reversed and water is forced through the membrane from the concentrated side to the dilute side. The central part of the RO system is this module, which is a pressurized container housing this semi-permeable membrane.
- Stage 5 is the post-carbon filter which removes tastes and odours and leaves the water tasting fresh and odourless. The water will then pass into a storage tank which holds the water ready for use.
