EcoNappies - Stegi Pack of 6 To top The nappies are: shaped for comfort and ease of use made from the best quality cotton available, as well as multiple layers of the cotton fabric, to result in high levels of absorbency as well as comfort washed in an industrial washer to ensure that they are pre-shrunk and will last for over 100 washes. Mothers are recommended to use biodegradable nappy liners in the cotton nappy to make it easier to dispose of the more serious waste. Quantities: Stegi recommends that you buy 24 nappies per size to allow you to use between 10 and 12 nappies a day, and wash every 2nd day. In the evenings it is recommended that you use a booster pad, which is a second nappy in the nappy cover to allow maximum absorbency through the night. The nappies are sold in packs of 6. For the Health of Your Baby: Chemicals and gels contained in the absorbent layer of "disposables" aren't subject to government controls or independent testing, and there is no labelling requirement on the packaging. There have been NO long-term studies into the effects on skin of constant exposure to the polyacralyte super absorbent gels found in most disposable nappies (gels that were deemed unsafe and removed from tampons in 1985). Cloth nappies do NOT cause nappy rash. Leaving a baby in a wet/soiled nappy for too long creates nappy rash!

Muslins - pack of 2 To top These are often referred to as Harrington Sqaures, Burp Clothes, Mimi's among other names. They are 100% muslin which is very, very soft cotton. The muslins are sold in boxes of two and are an attractive alternative to throwing a nappy over your shoulder! They have multiple uses, and can even be used as a bib when your baby starts solids - when no conventional bib works! An absolute necessity in any baby bag to wipe any- and everything.

Flushable Nappy Liners (pack of 100) Convenient and strong These nappy liners are flushable, but not biodegradable. An advantage of these liners is that they can be washed and re-used if your baby has just done a wee. They should therefore last a lot longer.

Laundry Bag To top Avoid handling soiled nappies. Use inside the nappy bucket to avoid handling soiled nappies. Place soiled nappies inside the laundry bag inside the nappy bucket, and once soaked, draw the drawstring and place the laundry bag in the washing machine. It is best to open the bag once in the washing machine, to allow the nappies to be washed and rinsed properly.
